Will I need an advanced divers license?
Depends. If we melt all our ice caps Amsterdam will be on the order of 70m below sea level.
What can I do to make this happen before I die?
We need to work together to accelerate climate change. Here are a few things you can do:
- Live in an energy inefficient building. This currently constitute 19% of our greenhouse gas emissions .
- Solely buy factory raised red meat. This may be bad for your health so we recommend just buying it and throwing it out. If you get tired of red meat then focus on cheese, chocolate and coffee.
- Purchase products that support deforestation. . Tropical deforestation is especially effective so make sure your chocolate is covered in palm fat.
- Fly at least once per month and drive where possible
- Don't repair, reuse and recycle. And absolutely don't reduce. We like to say consume more - dive deeper.
- Spread misinformation about climate science and lobby the government against any climate policies.
What if the government keeps building dykes?
We are hoping that an increase in extreme flood events will eventually break through the dykes. But this is just a hope, only time will tell.
